Soprano Angela Zawada is a Chicagoland native, having grown up in the near-West suburb of Elmhurst. She received her Master of Music degree from Roosevelt University, and holds her Bachelor degree from the University of Notre Dame. At Notre Dame, she sang the title role in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and played the Third Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute. Recent roles include Miss Pinkerton in Menotti's The Old Maid and The Thief at Roosevelt University, Amaranta in the United States première of Cimarosa's L'infedeltà fedele and Marcellina in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. Angela is a founding member of VOX 3 Collective. She has served as Education Chair for the group, and has sung on several concerts, performing on cabarets, recitals of German and Filipino art song, cantatas, and programs of opera scenes.
