Also as part of the Skokie Public Library’s Maurice Sendak exhibit, VOX 3 Collective offers a taste of opera for children and families. Presenting portions of musical dramas based on the popular author’s works, audiences will see familiar stories told in a new way. Whether portraying Max and the Wild Things, or Jennie, the dog who wants to see the world, or the poor singing children of Brundibar, VOX 3 members will entertain with their antics as they educate about the operatic genre. The fantastical works are written by Oliver Knussen, Hans Krasa, and chart-topper Carole King.
