Mezzo soprano Jennifer Thompson is a frequent performer in the Chicago area. Jennifer was recently seen as Lady Sangazure in the Hyde Park Gilbert and Sullivan Company’s production of The Sorcerer and as The Duchess in The Gondoliers with the Savoyaires. She will be joining the Savoyaires again this fall as Nicolette in Eyes and No Eyes. Additionally, Ms. Thompson has performed the roles of Siebel in Faust and Dorabella in Così fan tutte with DaCorneto Opera. Other roles include Mrs. Gleaton in Susannah and Lady Bracknell in Nobody’s Earnest. Solo oratorio credits include Mozart’s Requiem, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and Handel’s Messiah. With VOX 3 Collective, she has performed on programs of opera arias and scenes, and also sang in the ensemble for the Chicago AIDS Quilt Songbook. Ms. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts in music from MidAmerica Nazarene University and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
