Soprano Elizabeth Shuman is excited to join VOX 3 Collective. In the Chicago area, she has performed the role of Suor Infermiera in Elgin Opera’s Suor Angelica, and has appeared often in productions with Chicago Folks Operetta. She has also performed with DuPage Opera Theatre and Music by the Lake. In recent performances Elizabeth has highlighted new music by composers such as Messiaen and Poulenc. She also enjoys exploring early music, and has performed with the Bach Week Festival and the University of Chicago Early Music Ensemble. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Kansas State University with extensive studies in dance and acting. She is also an alumna of the Intermezzo Young Artist development program in Connecticut. Elizabeth lives in Chicago with her husband and daughter. Elizabeth studies with Maria Lagios.
