Soprano Rebecca Prescott, a rancher’s daughter from Jerome, Idaho, is a Master of Music graduate of Roosevelt University, where she studied with Richard Stilwell.  She imbues her acclaimed performances with theatricality, having appeared throughout the United States with many well-known companies.  She appeared as Desdemona in Othello with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, The Governess in The Turn of the Screw with Sierra Repertory Theatre, and will be performing with the Utah Shakespearean Festival in The Diary of Anne Frank and Pericles this fallIn Chicago, she has sung Yum-Yum in The Mikado, Low-Dive Jenny in The Threepenny Opera, Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore, Lucia in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, and Barbarina in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. Her turn in the Chicago premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus and Euridice earned praise from the press and the composer.  Ms. Prescott has understudied for Chicago Shakespeare, Northlight, and the Goodman Theatres.  Rebecca is a member of VOX 3 Collective, Eclipse Theatre, and Chicago Opera Vanguard.
